Prerequisite - in order to take the B-level course, all coaches MUST HAVE completed the C-level course prior to register to the B-level.

This course involves a thorough review of the GPTCA B-Level curriculum as an effective way to engage and encourage any coach to learn about the technics and strategies used by Touring Coaches on the ATP and WTA Tour, but more specifically design to emphasize how to work with players engaged in events of the ATP and WTA Pro Tour. This course is designed for individuals planning to coach players on Tour.  It is a course for tennis coaches to learn to work with Touring Players as well as parents or family members seeking to receive feed backs on how to best support players engaged on the Pro Tour phase. The initial emphases are on essential procedures and the use of equipment/tools and technics. The on-line course and accompanying coach training workshop will enable individuals to utilize The B-Level GPTCA Course to more easily integrate the technical fundamentals in an environment where coaches can have fun, be creative, and develop their self-esteem and confidence while gaining skills and a passion for coaching tennis. 


This course has topics presented through key points. Also included are video demonstrations of lesson management techniques and videos of classes with children. The quiz must be taken upon completion of the course and a review of the coach manual. Quiz results must be a minimum of 80% to qualify for certification as an LPT instructor/coach.


1.    To share best practices on proven technics in relation to coaching Professional players on Tour.

2.    To educate coaches and players about the Pro Tour history and organizations.

3.    To provide a source of inspiration by sharing technics for a successful integration in lessons.

4.    To demonstrate drills and mental technics related to the development of Pro players.

5.    To offer ways to enlist parental involvement in their child’s project.

-    1h - History of Tennis 2

-    1h – Organization 2

-    1h - Grand Slam Tournaments Organization

-    2h - Rules 2

-    4h - Coaching 2 A

-    6h - Coaching 2 B

-    2h - Mental Training

-    2h - Subject – Periodization – How to plan an effective Yearly tournament / rest schedule


-     Test - Quizz (a score of 80% of correct answers is needed to pass the certification)

-     Group discussion – (at the end of Workshop)


1.    Coach Training Manual – Download the written content and review prior to taking the final quiz for certification.

2.    Coach Downloadable Folder – Download this version which will be updated from time to time and which includes many information, links and knowledge sources.


1.    Practice high standards of educational and professional honesty and integrity. Submit for credit only the product of your own efforts.

2.    Do not share passwords or other access credentials with any other person or group that is not authorized to access the e-learning course.

3.    Maintain the confidentiality of the e-learning course by not taking part in any unauthorized downloading, copying, or distribution of course materials.


For most students, this will be an easy course to complete. However, applying the knowledge and being successful in coaching players requires diligent practice. Going over the course material, reviewing the coach manual and taking the quiz, will help students retain the fundamental techniques to effectively address typical players behavior and issues. After the course, download the Coach Teaching Manual and Folder to be reminded of the key points. It is also recommended that students video tape their practice teaching session with players and conduct a self-critique.
